Read more about Divya below.
How do you describe what you do?
I’m the Co-Founder of Wander Beauty. We create multitasking beauty essentials that streamline your routine and keep you gorgeous on the go. Each of our multitaskers provides maximum impact with minimum effort, doing double (and even triple) duty in your routine. I’m also an entrepreneur, investor, and founding partner of Concept to Co. I love learning from other entrepreneurs and truly enjoy mentoring those who are just starting out.
What’s the first thing you do in the morning?
Meditate for 20 minutes. I’ve been practicing transcendental meditation since the 7th grade.
Where is your favourite destination in the world?
It’s hard to pick one place but Cape Town, South Africa holds a special place in my heart. It’s breathtaking and has an incredible mix of beach life, outdoor activities, wine tasting, dining, and culture.
Which country have you traveled to that inspired you most?
I’ve spent a lot of my life in India as my parents live between there and America. I’ve traveled all through India and I’ve always been fascinated by the diversity across the country. There are so many different languages, customs, types of architecture, and people when you go from city to city.
Is there an adventure that changed your life?
I went scuba diving in Roatán, Honduras and it was the first time I really felt disconnected from technology. I stayed in a villa that didn’t have wifi and the cellular signal was pretty much non-existent. I spent the days scuba diving and the nights reading. It was the most mentally relaxing adventure I have ever taken.
What’s your favourite way to stay active?
I love to swim. I try to swim a few times a week. It’s a great time for me to disconnect from my daily routine and just be alone with my thoughts. I’ve also started bike riding recently. I enjoy the evening breeze and listening to audiobooks while I’m riding. I recently finished Shoe Dog by Phil Knight and loved it!
What’s an adventure you’re excited to take?
I’m waiting for my kids to get a little older so I can take them through different areas in Africa on a multi-country safari. I went gorilla trekking in Uganda and had the most phenomenal safari experience in Tanzania many years ago. It was magical to be outdoors and experiencing natural and animal life in a special way.
Do you have a piece of jewelry that’s sentimental to you?
When I was a kid, I played a lot of tennis. My mom played with us on weekends and I took lessons during the week. One year for my birthday, my parents bought me a gold tennis racket pendant on a chain. I wore it everyday for years. I recently gave it to my daughter, who also plays tennis. I seriously hope she doesn’t lose it!
