Paige McPhee | Producer at ET Canada
Paige is a producer and author of i'm in like with you. She's inspired by Italy, works out to Mad Fit on YouTube and is a big Bachelorette fan! Read on to find out more about Paige.
How do you describe what you do?
I would say first and foremost I am a content producer, whether that’s a video project, an article, a photo campaign for a client. I am never not producing.
What’s your favourite thing about what you do?
Producing is very versatile! You can get your hands in so many different creative fields, like graphic design, editing, directing. I don’t think there’s ever really a boring day.
Is there a career (or personal) accomplishment you’re proud of?
I wrote my first book in my last year of university - it’s called i’m in like with you: a collection of almost-love stories. I’ll never not be proud of that body of work.
What would you say are the top three skills needed to become a producer?
I would say you need to be creative, forward-thinking and organized.
Where is your favourite destination in the world?
I can’t say I’m extremely well travelled but I did love Croatia. It is such a beautiful country with a rich history.
Which country have you traveled to that inspired you most?
I would say Italy. There is an old school romanticism that Italy has that makes your mind wander.
Is there an adventure that changed your life?
A press trip to Nicaragua in 2018. I took the trip pretty impulsively, not knowing what would become of it, but it was absolutely incredible and I met some of the best creative minds (and friends) while on that trip!
What’s an adventure you’re excited to take?
I don’t know what travel will look like over the next two years, but I would love to visit England, Greece, Scotland, Portugal, Japan...so many on the list!
What’s your favourite way to recharge/relax?
Read a good book, make a nice meal, or watch The Bachelorette.
Favourite way to stay active?
I’m all over the YouTube workout videos! Fitness Blender and Mad Fit have been my go-to’s recently.
Is there a book that’s changed your life?
I don’t know that I have an answer to that - maybe, selfishly, my own.
Is there a cause you’re passionate about?
I am very passionate about furthering the conversation about equality, both between men and women and other genders, as well as the active pursuit of anti-racism.
Do you have a piece of jewelry that’s sentimental to you?
The first necklace my boyfriend ever gave me! And a ring given to me by my sister.
Jewelry Lightning Round:
Silver or Gold?
Chunky or Dainty?
Chain necklace or pendant necklace?
Huggies or oversized hoops?
Signet ring or stacking ring?
